Virat Kohli has reportedly decided to take a break after IPL 2024 and will join the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup with little delay.
Kohli is scheduled to fly to New York on May 30 and could miss the team’s only warm-up game against Bangladesh sched

left for the USA on Saturday evening.
“Kohli had informed us in advance that he would be joining the team late and hence the BCCI has kept his visa for a later date.
He is expected to fly to New York early on the morning of May 30.BCCI has agreed to his request,” stated a BCCI professional quoted through the publication.India’s T20I vice-captain and all-rounder Hardik Pandya will also join his colleagues later along with wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson.
Samson reportedly has a few non-public paintings to take care of in Dubai.
Kohli was part of IPL 2024 and represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru in all their 15 matches of the season. RCB qualified for the playoffs by finishing fourth in the table but lost to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator.
Kohli completed the marketing campaign with 741 runs from 15 innings and presently leads the race for the Orange Cap.
Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Shivam Dube, MohammedSiraj, Axar Patel and Shubman Gill left Mumbai for the World Cup on Saturday night.
After taking on Bangladesh in the warm-up, India will open their campaign against
Ireland in a Group A match on June 5 before taking on Pakistan in a big clash on June 9.
India won the inaugural ICC World T20 in 2007 but have not won the title since then. Their last appearance at the T20 exhibition resulted in a semi-final exit.
