In India’s warm-up match against Bangladesh, Rishabh Pant managed to make a positive impact on his return to the Indian side as he managed to hit a quickfire half-century.
Pant came to the side at third place after Sanju Samson was caught on the pads for LBW. Pant came in at 3, got off to a steady start but hit his first boundary in the fifth over against Mahedi Hasan at mid-off.

Up against the experienced Shakib-al-Hasan, he used a favorable matchup to his advantage as he smashed three sixes in his second over. It didn’t take Pant too long to use some of his unorthodox shots as he went for a reverse move that may not have been timed right but still cleared a boundary over deep backward point.
Despite Rohit Sharma’s dismissal, Pant managed to get going and increased his tally with back-to-back boundaries against Soumya Sarkar.
His signature one-handed flick also came into the picture when he took on Mahmadullah and hit him to the max.
Pant managed to bring up his fifty in style with a boundary against Shakib-al-Hasan to make 53 in 32 deliveries as he returned to the dugout to leave and give the rest of the batsmen some time in the middle.
It will be a positive sign for Pant to hit the ball so well as the Indian team will need him to continue this form in the middle order, assuming the side uses him there.

India’s plans are yet to be clarified with the likes of Virat Kohli opening the innings or coming in at No.3 along with the rest of the batting order still a mystery.
The Men in Blue will begin their T20 World Cup campaign with the first match to be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium against Ireland. The match will be played on June 5 at 20:00 IST.
